Design Master Software has released new versions of its three programs – Design Master HVAC, Design Master Electrical, and Design Master Plumbing – that feature improved support for 3D-BIM. These products now can export an IFC file that can be used for 3D collision detection in programs such as Revit, Navisworks, and Sketchup. Hangers for ductwork and piping were added to Design Master HVAC and Plumbing. The hangers are displayed both on the 2D plans and in the 3D model.
The new Design Master HVAC release also includes a pressure drop report for the ductwork, a new option for static regain duct sizing, and a more readable ventilation schedule, according to the Shoreline, Wash.-based company.
The new Design Master Electrical release also includes the ability to size equipment based on MCA and MOCP, and an improved voltage drop schedule. The material takeoff feature is now available to all users of the software.
Thanks for sharing the news. This sounds like a great tool for the construction industry.
